The children's author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams has parted ways with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the firm stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish future works by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the decision was reached following an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour directed at young women.

The company declined to specify the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."

A Prolific Literary Career

Walliams stands as a most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies internationally in 55 languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.

Some of his works, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.

His bibliography includes in excess of 40 works in total, including a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
