Charli XCX Portrays a Dark Alter Ego of Her Own Identity in Satirical Film Preview
Charli XCX is getting ready for a significant big screen onslaught in 2026, starting with the fictional documentary titled The Moment.
Within the project, Charli embodies what she describes as a hell version of her own persona.
It’s the truest representation of the music industry that I’ve ever witnessed, Charli stated.
She elaborated in an interview: It’s not a tour documentary, yet the concept stemmed from the expectation to create one.
An Early Look into The Moment
The first teaser, unveiled on recently, blends authentic footage from Charli’s Sweat tour with made-up behind-the-scenes moments.
The Moment is directed and co-written by her collaborator, who shared that the narrative centers on a scenario where Charli took completely different paths in the marketing of her smash hit album Brat.

The following year will also include Charli alongside Olivia Wilde in erotic drama I Want Your Sex, Natalie Portman in gallery suspense The Gallerist, and Barbie Ferreira in terror reimagining Faces of Death.
Additionally, she signed on to feature in the star’s maiden directing project A Tree in Blue.

Soundtrack Involvement
Next February will also bring the release of Emerald Fennell’s interpretation of Wuthering Heights, which will showcase new music from the singer.
Additionally, she will create the soundtrack for the story Mother Mary, starring Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel, planned for launch in the coming year.
The film will be released on the 30th of January.
